      Overview

      Oversees and manages day-to-day customer satisfaction and operations of a medium-scale Sportsbook in Virginia, including developing team members, implementing strategies to increase productivity and revenues, and ensuring industry-leading customer experience. This position requires prior professional casino experience.

      Responsibilities

      • Supports the planning, operating, and maintaining of a Retail Sportsbook in a casino environment on a day-to-day basis.
      • Ensures vigilance and control against all regulated areas of the Retail Sports Betting business.
      • Fosters and manages relationships with existing casino stakeholders & Hard Rock Digital to optimize success.
      • Leverages analytics to provide insights and make recommendations to reach new players and create value at the casino property.
      • Develops and coaches a team of Sportsbook Supervisors and Sportsbook Agents.
      • Interacts with the customer base in-person to provide product education and develop loyal relationships.
      • Works with the Hard Rock Digital Risk Management team in the monitoring of risk and liability.
      • Collaborates with the Compliance Department to ensure that all products and operating procedures are compliant with all regulations, including ICS, SOPs, AML, Title 31, etc.
      • Delivers performance metrics against defined Retail accounts, both Hard Rock and Business to Business.
      • Executes strategic initiatives as directed within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
      • Identifies and appropriately escalates issues needing resolution in a timely manner.
      • Demonstrates values and behaviours consistent with the Hard Rock brand.
      • Adjusts and reacts efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
      • Prioritizes and executes tasks in a fast-paced environment.
      • Flexibility to oversee operations 24/7 and be on call and available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

      Qualifications

      • 5+ years’ experience in Gaming and or Sportsbook related management roles
      • Understand sports wagering terminology and products as well as managing customer expectations
      • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
      • Must successfully pass background check.
      • Must successfully pass drug screening.
      • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
      • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.
      • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time and work in a loud, smoking environment.
      • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and exhibit strong attention to details.
      • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
      • Must have the ability to oversee operations 24/7 and be on call/available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
      • Must be currently located in the Bristol, VA area or willing to relocate.
